Job Description:

A company is looking for a Director of Global Freight.



Key Responsibilities:

Oversee strategy and operational responsibilities including review and approval of SOPs and changes into freight operations procedures and processes
Manage supplier relationships, quality issues, freight dispatch and cycle times, and costs as per agreed SLAs
Establish control structures to consistently meet cargo tender and dispatch metrics, collaborate with IT for automation, and report daily progress to leadership


Qualifications:

10+ years of experiences in Global and US inbound cross border logistics procurement
Deep understanding of international freight forwarder, IATA and air/ocean cargo service ecosystem and providers
Experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment with a focus on operational efficiency
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others without formal authority
Demonstrated creativity and ingenuity in developing successful strategies for business growth
