Title: Installation Technician
Location: -Camarillo, CA
Duration: 3 month contract to hire
Compensation: $18-$25 per hour
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in

Job Description:
Overview:
They are looking for temps for their Install Team that whom would
be paired with a direct employee who is fully knowledgeable on the
process of installing.

The temp would be assisting a trained employee throughout each
day.

The temp would not be driving a vehicle, they will be traveling
with a lead who will drive.
-
The job entails visiting a mixture of commercial and residential
locations for the purpose of installing fixed wireless internet
service.
-
Generally, they are installing between 1- and 3-foot parabolic
dishes attached to a Ballastest non penetrating roof top flat mount
or direct tv style dish mount. From there a Cat5E cable is run from
the rooftop installation to the customers desired location of
service interface. (Server Room or Location of Their Router)

Skills Needed:
Able to Lift equipment with the use of rope based hauling
techniques when needed
Generally items lifted range from 10-40 pounds in weight.
Team lifting is used.
Running of cable
Cat5e is our primary cable media.
RJ45 connectors are terminated and crimped on both ends when the
path is completed.
Ok with Long Periods working Outdoors in SunLight
Teams generally work from 7:30am to 4:00pm
In some instances days go beyond these times.
Ok with Heights to some degrees, working on Roof tops
Rooftops may be 15-40ft in height depending on location.
Rooftops access via a mixture of built in access ladders or
portable ladders.
Ok with work on a ladder when needed
From time to time we do work from 8ft to 28ft ladders when
needed
Assist in building equipment out
General Knowledge of Hand Tools
General Knowledge of Hand Held Power Tools
Assist Lead tech in setting up equipment and putting equipment
away

Technicians/Installers are responsible for multiple customer visits
daily which could include completing site surveys, installing
equipment, ensuring a quality internet connection, and educating
our customers on our services.

Technicians/Installers are required to work 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Monday thru Friday not including overtime or double time hours
which has to be approved by a supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Responsibilities include but are not limited too are:
Conducting site surveys - determine the best positioning of our
equipment for strongest signal reception
Provide service and customer support during field visits or
dispatches
Tie workflow to schedule
Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test
tasks
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper
solutions
Produce timely and detailed service reports
Document processes
Operate vehicle in a safely manner and use field automation
systems
Follow all companys filed procedures and protocols
Cooperate with technical team and share information across the
organization
Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate
recommendations/briefings
Build positive relationships with customers
Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays
and evenings
Must be able to work overtime, this position is 40+ hours a
week

employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is

wearing appropriate safety gear, the employee is occasionally
exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical
shock. The employee must be able to walk over different types of
terrain and in a variety of weather conditions. The noise level in
the work environment is moderate in the office setting and variable
in the field. Under extreme weather conditions, alternative types
of transportation may be necessary (i.e. helicopter, snow mobiles)
to reach job site.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic computer skills; basic electronics and/or audio/video
knowledge is helpful.
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving record that
meets company minimum safety standard.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED preferred; college or
technical/vocational school a plus.
Cable industry experience is a plus.
