SummaryThe Pricing Analyst is responsible for the development,
completion, and accuracy of customer price proposals. This shall
include but not be limited to compiling all recurring and
non-recurring cost estimates for production or development
proposals. This is done while incorporating the design, tooling,
materials, labor, and testing on Company-manufactured products
contained in engineering drawings, technical data packages,
operation sheets and other sources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Under minimal to no
supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties
including, but not limited to: --- Compiles cost, schedule, and
technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance
with request for proposal (RFP) specifications. --- Responsible for
understanding Statements of Work, Bill of Material, Technical Data
Packages, and part models.--- Prepares cost estimates for the
complete fabrication and/or assembly of parts, sub-assemblies,
major components of Company products. Researches and analyzes
historical data, develops cost models to support proposal
efforts.--- Establishes estimating assumptions, rationale, basis of
estimate (BOE), learning curve, and scrap, rework factors for use
in cost estimating assignments.--- Creates bid sheets and all
required pricing reports for management review and approval---
Interfaces with Engineering, Operations, and Program Management to
develop, review, and evaluate engineering and manufacturing labor
hour estimates. --- Requests and tracks receipt of supplier and
sub-contractor quotes used to develop a priced bill of material.---
Documents, validates, and explains cost estimates to program
management, customers, and auditors.--- Responsible for the
control, custody, and protection of all applicable estimating and
planning documents. Responsible for maintaining and updating
proposal standard work. --- May plan and/or participate in process
improvement projects involving the development of new approaches
and methods to attain objectives.--- Perform other related duties
as assigned by management.

Education and Experience: To perform this job successfully, an
individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of
the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
--- Associates Degree (A.A.) required. Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.
highly preferred) in Finance, Business Management, Engineering, or
an equivalent combination of education and experience.--- Three (3)
to five (5) + years of experience in estimating and pricing in the
Required Skills:--- Language: Must have excellent written and
verbal skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general
business information. Ability to write reports, business
correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers. --- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few
concrete variables in standardized situations.--- Mathematical
Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,
interest, commissions, proportions, & percentages.--- Other
Abilities: Must have prior experience with the aerospace and
defense industry (both commercial and government) serving
world-wide customers. Requires analytical skills in evaluating
costs, both direct and indirect, identifying cost drivers, risks,
and opportunities. Must have a basic understanding of actuals,
Level of Effort, and judgement estimates--- Must have solid
analytical skills and solution-driven thinking and able to use
large amounts of data to make strategic decisions. --- Must have
basic knowledge of production processes, tool design, jigs and
fixtures, production tooling, familiarity with engineering and
drafting procedures and have an ability to read complicated
blueprints and prepare bills of materials. --- Requires analytical
skills in evaluating costs, both direct and indirect, identifying
cost drivers, risks, and opportunities. --- Requires a basic
knowledge of military specifications and their application. Must be
familiar with government price/cost principles and the requirements
of FAR Part 15 & 12. Must have working knowledge of CAS
requirements. Must demonstrate the ability to prepare and support
TINA compliant proposals, DCAA audits, and fact find process.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:--- Customary physical
demands for office and manufacturing environment.
