Job Description:

Must have Experience working on indexing Machines.

Experience working on machines that have high throughput (i.e. company has machines that put out 75,000 parts a day.)

BASIC FUNCTION - Setup machines, continuous improvement of existing machines, new machine design and development, and maintains production and quality by ensuring proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment for Medical device manufacturing.

WORK PERFORMED/RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.

Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straight edges, and other tools as needed.

Controls downtime by informing productions workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques, machine modifications, machine adjustments, setup issues, or any other circumstances which would cause downtime and or production loss.

PLUS but NOT REQUIRED: if you have experience fabricating and repairing parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Experience preparing mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends by using CMMS systems.
