experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join our team. This is a
full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with
a diverse team of professionals dedicated to excellence in all
aspects of our business. The Purchasing Supervisor will play a
crucial role in managing our supply chain, ensuring the smooth and
efficient operation of our manufacturing plant, and keeping us
competitive in the aerospace sector. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all purchasing activities within the
organization, including sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of
materials and services.
- Develop, implement, and maintain purchasing policies,
procedures, and standards to ensure efficiency and
cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to forecast and
plan for future material needs, considering factors such as lead
times, product lifecycle, and market trends.
- Evaluate current and potential suppliers based on criteria such
as quality, cost, reliability, and delivery performance, and
establish strategic relationships with key suppliers.
- Manage the supply chain to ensure uninterrupted production,
taking proactive measures to mitigate risks and resolve any issues
that arise.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of plant
management strategies, focusing on continuous improvement and
optimization of resources.
- Stay abreast of advancements in the aerospace and engineering
industries, and leverage this knowledge to identify opportunities
for improvement and innovation in our purchasing and supply chain
processes.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment of
purchasing activities with business objectives and to foster
cross-functional collaboration.
- Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities
and performance to senior management.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain
Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or supply
chain role, preferably in the engineering or aerospace
industry.
- Proven experience in plant management and manufacturing
operations.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain concepts and practices,
including procurement, inventory management, and supplier
relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data to make informed
decisions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability
to motivate and inspire others.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach
to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all
levels.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including ERP
systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certifications such as Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) would be an
