Under the direction of the Senior Program Manager of Camino a Casa, the Business Development Representative is responsible for communicating the quality and breadth of Camino a Casa services with all active and potential clients and referring parties; assess families/referring parties needs by consistent interface with identified clients and referring parties; communicate the needs and feedback of our external clients and referring parties with the internal Camino Leadership team; provide tools to facilitate internal, two-way business-focused communication; develop productive relationships with managed care partners and referring resources; develop and manage organizational brand and brand awareness; and supports clients at discharge with potential resources.The Business Development Representative carries out the mission of Casa Pacifica as it relates to the Camino a Casa program and Casa Pacifica in general, with the goal of achieving the best outcomes for youth and their families, strong referral partnerships, and ensures Camino a Casa stays competitive in the market. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities):Research, identify, and complete outreach with potential referring parties to establish an active referral relationship with Casa Pacifica's Camino a Casa program.Identifies new referral customers and collects information to assist in qualifying the referral potential of each client.Works with current referral clients to continually qualify referral potential of each customer.Completes pre-call/meeting planning with current and potential referents and establishes an agenda for each meeting/call.Transitions referral sources and clients to the admissions department as needed.Schedule and conduct meetings with identified referring parties/clients; prepares required reports; and maintains appropriate files.Supports referral sources/clients/families successfully through the admissions process so that results in an active referral relationship with Casa Pacifica.Updates Camino a Casa Leadership within one week of contact meetings.Completes reports, tours, projects, and presentations as needed.Create a sales plan for Camino a Casa Programs; collaborate with other Casa Pacifica team members regarding sales plans and activities. Schedules meetings and other activities with Casa Pacifica team members and coordinates necessary arrangements.Collects data from internal and external sources to complete a quarterly outreach plan.Participate in assigned team meetings with other Camino a Casa team members to ensure completion of growth plan and/or revision of growth plan as needed.Schedules time and place for community outreach activities; communicates with referrals, managed care plans and clinicians about specifics of outreach activities; and ensures that activities will assist in generating referrals to the Camino a Casa program.Participate in business development team meetings to share information, concerns, progress, goals, and assignments.Provides any important information about referral clients to Camino Leadership team.Attends local meetings to represent Camino a Casa in a marketing capacity.Completes all needed paperwork in a timely manner.Contacts any clinicians that are attending a conference to ensure appropriate marketing support and to coordinate booth time.Identifies current and potential referral sources that are attending a mutual conference and completes pre-conference planning for engaging these sources.Orders the appropriate marketing information to be shipped in a timely fashion.Staffs outreach booth during any and all exhibit hall hours of conferences where the program is marketed.Follows-up with referral sources that attended a mutual conference within 10 business days of end of conference.Assist the Camino a Casa Leadership team with development and implementation of department policies and procedures to assure fiscal integrity, and effective utilization of resources. This includes participating in the planning and maintaining of the marketing and outreach budget.Assists in the preparation of the annual marketing and outreach budget.Quarterly reviews the marketing and outreach budget with the Director and other Sr. Business Development Representative(s).Assist the Camino a Casa Leadership team with the development and implementation of business development goals, strategies, and action plans to respond to market trends and demands; and to promote success for all clinical programs.Identifies concerns/issues potentially impacting census (negative and positive).Develops action plan(s) to assist in increasing census.Regularly reports to Camino a Casa Leadership team about progress in completion of action plans.Remains educated and informed with respect to the market position of the program.Makes recommendations with respect to the development of new programs or services which will be profitable for the agency.Provides assistance to the Camino a Casa Leadership team as needed in the following areas:Assists in recruiting highly quality professional staff for the program.Accurately represents the goals and activities of the department both internally and externally.Complete other duties as requested.Position requires staff must be at least 21 years of age. Completed and cleared Livescan, criminal statement, health screening with TB test. Must undergo a one-hour training which reviews mandatory reporting requirements as per Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA). This training takes place during pre-service orientation training and periodically thereafter.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Six years marketing experience within the health care industry, preferably in the psychiatric or mental health field.Valid California Driver's License with excellent driving record. Use of personal car may be required, mileage reimbursement. Must have proof of insurance. Any changes that occur on your driving record must be reported immediately to your supervisor and Human Resources.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism in its most difficult phases.
