ContinuousDescription This recruitment is being conducted to fill a
temporary assignment and not being conducted to establish an
eligibility list from which regular appointments will be made, as
such this recruitment may close at any time. Employees hired in
this capacity are considered at will and do not accrue property
interest in the assignment and are not eligible for benefits. WHAT
YOU'LL DO Under the general supervision of an assigned supervisor,
manage college auxiliary services contracts, oversee the scheduling
of college facilities for external and internal groups, and
coordinate the use of facilities and related staff for civic center
and college events, activities, and services. WHERE YOU'LL
WORKOxnard College was founded in 1975 and is the newest of the
three community colleges in the county. Set on 118 acres and
located two miles from Pacific Ocean beaches, the college is easily
accessible by the Ventura Freeway (Highway 101) or the Pacific

the Ventura County Community College District, which includes

and/or religious reasons. Employees who receive an exemption will
be required to wear a mask or face covering while on District
property and/or facilities and will be required to undergo COVID-19

Website. Representative Duties Manage auxiliary services contracts
(e.g. food services, vending, bookstore, and photocopying/
reprographics); ensure contract and insurance compliance, and
assist with identifying, renewing, evaluating, modifying, and
terminating college auxiliary services contracts; serve as
day-to-day contact for auxiliary services. E Oversee and maintain
budget for the Civic Center; track revenues and expenditures;
review and provide input for budget preparation; receive, deposit,
and track payments; create journal vouchers for processing of
payments. E Determine the type and availability of space and
equipment needed for non-instructional use of the facilities;
calculate costs of equipment, set-up, personnel (e.g. overtime for
facilities, custodial, or Police staff) and/or other costs using
approved fee schedules; research and recommend fee schedule
changes. E Review and verify Civic Center event applications,
insurance, and food safety documents from outside organizations for
completeness and to ensure compliance with relevant state, county,
and district regulations, codes, policies, and procedures; review
contracts related to use of campus facilities from outside
organizations. E Receive, review, and approve on-campus facility
requests for events, meetings, trainings, and activities through
facility database system; manage and resolve scheduling conflicts.
E Coordinate, schedule, and oversee staff (e.g. maintenance and
operations, custodial, grounds, athletics, police, information
technology) for preparation, set-up, operation and take-down of
events, activities, and other college services. E Provide
prospective users with facilities layouts and tours to assist in
the selection, layout and set-up of campus rental facilities. E
Attend all Civic Center events; or ensure attendance by appropriate
personnel; serve as day-of contact for events and assigned college
activities and services. E Generate calendar of facility usage
reports from the facility database system for distribution to
campus departments. E Attend and participate in planning committee
meetings for college facilities, emergency preparedness, and safety
and wellness, as needed. May attend meetings regarding status of
construction activity. Submit work orders for repairs to event
facilities to Facilities, Maintenance and Operations, as needed.
Recruit, select, train and provide work direction to temporary
staff and student assistants; schedule hours, monitor performance,
prepare and process payroll and other related records. Perform
related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications A master's degree
from a recognized college or university AND one year of experience
coordinating events, managing facilities projects, or providing
administrative support in an event or facilities planning
environment.OR A bachelor's degree from a recognized college or
university AND two years of experience coordinating events,
managing facilities projects, or providing administrative support
in an event or facilities planning environment.OR An associate's
degree from a recognized college or university AND three years of
experience coordinating events, managing facilities projects, or
providing administrative support in an event or facilities planning
environment.OR Graduate from high school or evidence of equivalent
educational proficiency AND four years of experience coordinating
events, managing facilities projects, or providing administrative
support in an event or facilities planning environment.Supplemental
