Job Description Summary: The Packaging Associate is responsible for general warehouse duties General Duties and Responsibilities : Adheres to proper cGMP---s including good housekeeping, proper protection of product quality and integrity, and personal hygiene. Reads and understands written instructions and SOPs. Removes finished product from the conveyor and packages according to Master Batch Record guidelines. Palletizes boxes. Loads empty containers onto a bottle unscrambler or infeed turntable. Supplies packaging components to the Packaging Line Specialist. Clears left over components from packaging equipment. Cleans windows and window sills within the assigned area of operation. Sweeps/Vacuums assigned area of operation. Mops area of operation. Assist members of the Quality Control department in releasing the next batch run. Opens boxes and takes out bulk bottles for Lot Number and Expiration Date validation by a member of the Quality Control department. Cuts down boxes for disposal. Wipes down carts with alcohol. Assist other teams. Performs other packaging-related duties as assigned. Equipment: Carts and pallet-jacks. Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Must lift, bend, stoop, climb, and pull in the process of moving boxes and packages from one location to another. Must be able to package between 25 and 40 bottles a minute. May be required to work longer than the typical 8-hour work day. Miscellaneous Requirements: Maintain a strong attendance record. Must be able to pass drug screening and background check. Adhere to company---s drug-free workplace policies. Attitude: Individual must be enthusiastic, concerned with job and company as whole. Must maintain open communication with supervisor and management. Must be self-disciplined with the desire and capability of achieving high quality results. Must be flexible. Must be detail-oriented and a professional team player.
