The Americas & India Division has approximately 225 locations across the USA, Panama, Paraguay and India. The US business is made up of 114 company owned locations and the balance of the 111 locations are either franchisee or licensee owned. Panama and Paraguay have 10 and 2 locations respectively and are run by dedicated franchisees. India is currently managed via a Master Franchisor Agreement and has 25 locations across the country.


The Coffee Bean & Tea Leafhas an immediate opening for a NA Demand Planner at our Roasting and Distribution Facility located in Camarillo, CA. The Demand Planner oversees many of the daily operations of the Human Resources Department, coordinating efforts with the home office management team, while always supporting our Guiding Principles. The HRM is responsible for supporting and implementing demand plans and processes to support the successful growth and operation of the Camarillo, RAD facility. The position reports to the Head of Human Resources.


  • Analyze business performance and recommend financial strategies to support specific store, franchise, specialty sales and eComm product objectives for the coffee, tea and powders business categories.
  • Perform activities to drive results and maximize sales such as initial plan development and monthly re-forecasting of sales and inventory.
  • Support production and purchasing group in assortment line review process
  • Provide demand forecasts from all channels and develop a resource planning tool.
  • Create and maintain forecasts which incorporates business intelligence and demand signals gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources
  • Develop style-level plans based on current forecasts, market intelligence, and historic trends
  • Partner with the VP of Supply Chain to ensure delivery of team financial goals including development/reforecasting sub-class plans, assortment planning, vendor planning merchandise planning, key item planning and ad-hoc analysis by category.
  • Develop strategic top-down plans on sales, margin, and inventory levels. Partner with Procurement, Sales and Marketing teams to offload excess inventories.
  • Forecast sales, margin, and inventories on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to recommend strategies that maximize profitability and mitigate risk
  • Prepare forecast data, review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional partners visual, store operations, allocation, and e-commerce
  • Work cross-functionally on the development of forecast improvement processes, tools, and systems
  • Work closely with the US logistics, production, and procurement team to ensure products and raw materials will be sourced and available on a timely basis to support production and all customer orders and minimize out-of-stock instances while keeping inventories tight.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information and the sharing of best practices Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required, Master's preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience. Experience in retail/food & beverage industry a plus
    • Familiarity with top-down and/or bottoms-up financial planning processes and systems
      • Experience developing complex financial models, forecasting, reporting and variance analysis with production/warehouse processes
      • Strong ability to organize data, perform independent analysis, and prepare management presentations in a fast paced, dynamic environment
      • Ability to command credibility and influence across the organization
        • Motivated self-starter willing to work on their own initiatives
        • Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
        • Strong partnership and collaborative style with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
          • Working knowledge of MS Dynamics, Excel, SQL
