Special Events Coordinator

Our client is a local chapter of a national non-profit serving
the needs of children and families. They seek an experienced Events
Coordinator who will be responsible for the coordination of
internal chapter special events (with logistics management from a
contracted events management firm), managing external events and
assisting the development team as needed with donor care,
cultivation and stewardship. This is a direct hire position for a
wonderful organization where you will be able to make a real
difference in the lives of families in the tri-county area.
Primary duties will include:
Collaborate with the Director of Development to implement annual
development goals and strategic plans.
Drive philanthropic engagement and initiatives through the
cultivation of individuals, foundations, corporations, and schools
throughout the Tri-Counties.
Implement and/or oversee fundraising initiatives and programs
Provide direction, oversight, and coaching of volunteer fundraising
chairs and committees for events, communicate committee progress.
Ensure all details of events are secured.
Provide event coaching, scheduling, planning, production and
develop event budget.
Develop resource & training material for event chairs or volunteer
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Superior problem solver, with great attention to detail, and
ability to think strategically
The ability to drive a car, lift 20 pounds in and out of a vehicle,
sit and work at a computer or stand for periods of time.
BS/BA degree preferred in related field, minimum 3 years business
experience and/or nonprofit fundraising or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, Raiser Edge,
Salesforce, Constant Contact, GiveSmart and similar programs
