This position is located within the Department of the Interior,
Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, BOEM, Pacific Outer Continental
Shelf, OCS, Region, Pacific OCS Regional Director located in
At the full performance level (GS-12) the major duties of this
position include, but are not limited to the following:
Conducts various analyses in support of budgetary processes
which involve providing written or verbal assessments to the
Regional Director (RD), and Regional Supervisors (RS's).
Serves as the principal advisor to the RD and principal liaison
with the Acting Director's (AD) budget staff in formulating,
justifying and executing the Regional financial management program
covering four organizational sub activity appropriations and eleven
Coordinates with RS's to prepare the estimates of appropriations
and staffing for the proposed 5-year OCS program, as needed.
Assures financial plans adhere to long-range program plans and to
Coordinates the compilation of budget estimates for the Region
for each program.
- Monitors and analyzes execution of the budget to assure that
funds are allocated according to approved plans and to ensure
timely obligation of funds.6. Coordinates the preparation of status
of funds information for Regional management and advises on the
need for corrective action to remain on target.
The BOEM Pacific OCS has determined that the duties of this
position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed
to telework with supervisor approval.
Salary InformationGS-12: $88,488, per annum - $115,039, per
First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the
lower salary range of the grade level.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
To qualify for this position you must meet the Specialized
Experience for the series to which you are applying.
To qualify for the GS-12, you must possess at least one full
year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the
Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through
Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped
the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities
to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is in
or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized
experience is defined as demonstrated experience: 1) tracking and
analyzing multiple program expenditures over multiple accounting
lines; 2) reviewing and comparing funding estimates by line item or
object class 3) collaborating with multiple stakeholders such as
Federal, State, Local and Tribal organizations; 4) preparing and
reviewing justifications to support program budget needs. 5)
working on or overseeing emergency management and continuity of
operations tasks Must meet all five.
