The Software team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a *Sr Principal* *Software Engineer* - *Database Administrator* based out of Pt Mugu, CA near our Camarillo, CA site. If you are an experienced Database Administrator or have Software Development experience with the ability to design, develop and administer complex databases using tools such as SQL, WE WANT YOU!
*Work in an Agile environment.

* Implements and maintains smooth operation of databases.

* Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases.

* Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.

* Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management.

* Able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated system/network administrators, software developers, and mission planners.

*Training and Development

* Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years of relative experience; Proficiency in systems and database management

* The ability to design, develop, and administer complex databases using a database language such as SQL OR similar database languages to SQL.

* Familiarity with database management best practices.

* Experience implementing database schema architectures such as the coding and design of stored procedures, foreign keys, table relationships, etc.

* Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL

* US Citizenship and must have Interim Secret clearance prior to starting. Once started, must have the ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.

*Experience with high level coding languages such as C#, C++, PowerShell, VBA, etc.

* Experience with Azure DevOps / TFS and Git
