We are excited for you to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals.Position Overview:As a Principal Software Engineer or Sr. Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and debugging of software applications.Essential Functions:New feature implementation that allows for smooth integration with pre-existing systemsSoftware development using Agile MethodologyUtilizing Jira to document bugs and enhancementsSoftware engineering support for multi-language (C/C++, C#, Visual Basic) and complex software systemsEnhance usability, performance, and maintainability of systems via analysis and bug fixes.Coordinate, integrate, and resolve defects in conjunction with the test team.Seeking candidates who find satisfaction in working on challenging and diverse assignments in collaborative settings across all levels.This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.Basic Qualifications:Principal Software Engineer:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 0 years of experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.Experience or basic understanding of object-oriented programming languages (C, C++, C#, Visual Basic) and scripting languages (Python, MATLAB)Self-starter and able to work independently.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.Sr. Principal Software Engineer:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 9 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years' experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience, or 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.Experience or basic understanding of object-oriented programming languages (C, C++, C#, Visual Basic) and scripting languages (Python, MATLAB)Self-starter and able to work independently.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Electronic Warfare (EW), Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Protection (EP), Electronic CountermeasuresComputer Networking & CommunicationsLegacy software and modernization effort experienceConfiguration management software experience (i.e. Git, etc.)Software development and troubleshooting in a team environment.Agile development experienceAtlassian Tool Suite experienceTechnical leadership experienceFull software development lifecycle experienceSalary Range: $104,600 USD - $130,800 USDSalary Range 2: $129,700 USD - $194,500 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
