POSITION SUMMARY Under direction from the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Training Instructor has primary responsibility for the development and direction of the training and development aspects led by the human resources function. This position will work in collaboration with the Training and Development Committee, populated by members of leadership from the various departments, to implement and design programs relative to the development and growth of the Plan staff. This position will be accountable for implementation and leadership of internal training programs which federal, state and local compliance regulations. The Training Instructor will also have accountability for interviewing, selecting and scheduling outside consultants in development programs that apply to retention and improved performance for various departments. Additionally, this position will work in collaboration with the Training and Development Committee to establish on-line programs that meet company requirements and training needs to optimize the retention and development within the Plan. The Training Instructor will develop, review and continue to maintain a living document which outlines priorities strategy for continual improvements and education. The TI will work in conjunction with the CDO to ensure diversity awareness and sensitivity continues to remain a priority and at a high standard of visibility throughout the organization. Finally, the TI will also develop company-wide metrics which detail improvements, return on investment and improved retention/satisfaction aided and enhanced by training objective and goals ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable Accommodations Statement To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Essential Functions Statement(s) --- Manage all interactions and communications with all levels of the organization as well as external consultants, vendors, and commission members --- Review all proposed legislation and regulations and implement appropriate training in support of all employee relation compliance related requirements. --- Oversee, administer and implement various training programs --- Lead the Training and Development Committee to ensure timely, meaningful and appropriate training and development for all levels of the organization. Chair GCHP Compliance Committee --- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with all departments across the organization, Executives and Commission members where needed. --- Work with Executive Team to assist in development of training programs as they enhance and develop employment levels within the organization --- Support Chief Diversity Officer in implementing awareness and sensitivity programs to enhance overall awareness and meet compliance needs within the organization Create and present training programs --- Partners with the Executive Director, HR to ensure HR goals/objectives are met. --- May assist with regulatory and compliance training --- Perform such other duties as assigned. SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: in training, education and/or Human Resources preferred. Experience: 3 plus years of experience in training, presentation or development role a plus. Computer Skills: Experience with Skillsoft, Lynda.com a plus Powerpoint helpful Certifications & Licenses: Other Requirements: Knowledge of: understanding of Lesson Plans, ability to Structure Agendas, Training format, work in Powerpoint presentations a priority Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Bonus/Commission: No
