Restoring Families.--Responsibilities: Position Summary:The Nursing Manager provides oversight and instructions for on-site nursing to staff and adolescents residing in Newport Academy facilities. The Nursing Supervisor is expected to perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and core values of Newport Academy and comply with all policies and procedures, OSHA, HIPPA, local, state, and federal, regulations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Act as liaison between Connecticut nursing team and Director of Psychiatry.* Delegate delegating shift-specific responsibilities to maximize efficiency and accuracy in provision of nursing care.* Perform 2-4 clinical shifts monthly in thefacility and fill in for nurses who take vacation/call out, as well as stepping in to perform clinical duties if team is short staffed.* Perform chart audits on a weekly basis and address any missing or erroneous documentation immediately.* Review all medication error reports and internal incident reports related to medications.* Completion of all DCF-related nursing documentation and treatment plans when indicated that RN may complete.* Generate and fax all monthly and quarterly DCF reports.* Assist in conducting medication certification internships after DCF training course is completed.* Phlebotomy when ordered by the MD and communicate with Quest regarding pickup.* Uphold all policies and procedures of Newport Academy.* Additional responsibilities are instructed.Qualifications: Basic Education and Experience Required:The Nursing Manager must hold a current RN (Registered Nurse) license in the State and have at least two years of prior nursing experience.Newport Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
