We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.Job Description Teledyne Imaging Sensors is an integral member of the Digital Imaging Segment of Teledyne Technologies. Imaging Sensors provides advanced imaging solutions for a variety of customers, including the DoD, NASA, prime system integrators, and commercial customers. In the civilian space arena, Teledyne sensors are the most advanced sensors on board the Hubble space telescope, and they are also found on board the majority of NASA space probes and ground based telescopes. In the DoD arena, Teledyne sensors are integrated into several major systems for persistent surveillance, chemical detection, and target identification, among others. We are adding a Growth Strategy Director -to the team! The Growth Strategy Director will support Teledyne's business expansion by leveraging relationships and domain knowledge to identify and capture new opportunities for CRAD, development, and production contracts across our space, astronomy, and commercial product program portfolio.Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Strategy definition & refinement - revision to 5-year technical and business strategy and associated activities, reacting to emerging customer needs and providing input to investments and other decisions to posture business to benefit from market trends. Brief senior leadership on recommendations and incorporate feedback and revisions.
  • Customer relationship building - using existing and to-be-established professional network to connect customer opportunities and campaigns to solutions; identify best fit opportunities and shape programs toward Teledyne strengths
  • Pipeline management - provide accurate status on active pursuit potential values, probability of win/go, and timing. Provide metrics on business development success such as win percentage, rationale for win/loss, efficiency of marketing and proposal processes.
  • Capture management leadership - oversee proposal generation process, deploy best practices, and mentor program/capture managers to adopt winning tactics
  • Tradeshow and technical conference representation of the Teledyne business - attend tradeshows and industry day events to maintain network contacts
  • Travel may be required up to 30% of full timeQualifications & Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:
    • Cross functional coordination and communication skills, team alignment experience
    • Aptitude dealing with uncertainty and with generic instruction without detailed oversight of activities
    • Clarity of communication and strong skills in organizing pursuit pipeline data (customer stratification, probability of win, potential value)
    • Possess strong communication/presentation skills and be able to work effectively with diverse personalities and various levels of management and collaboratively across the Teledyne corporation
    • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct, and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
    • Advanced computer proficiency level using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and MS ProjectEducation and/or Experience
      • -B. S. or B.A. with ten (10) years of experience in high technology.
      • Knowledge of infrared focal plane array technology and semiconductor device physics and operation a plusOther Qualifications: -
        • Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen
        • Active US DoD Secret/Top Secret or SCI clearance requiredSalary Range:$188,100.00 - $314,600.00
