a Director, Accounting to join our team in Camarillo, CA. This is
an onsite, full-time, exempt position.Responsibilities:Obtain and
maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and
general ledger structure of the company.Responsible for the
day-to-day Accounting operations, supervision, and leadership.
Supervise, direct, coach and mentor the accounting team,
establishing goals and objectives for each year and monitoring on
the progress to enhance the staff's professional development.Lead
the implementation and development of new procedures and features
to improve the workflow of the department and provide training to
new or existing staff if necessary.Direct, monitor and analyze the
team's work to develop best-practices and more efficient procedures
and use of resources while maintaining a high level of
accuracy.Maintain the Company's accounting policies, educate the
broader accounting team on application of policies and drive the
implementation of any changes in policies or adoption of new IFRS
standards. Ensure all revenues are recorded in accordance with IFRS
15-Revenue from Contracts with Customers.Responsible for managing
and supporting a timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and
year-end close process (including preparing and posting journal
entries, as needed).Oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts
Receivable personnel and processes.Responsible for the
consolidation of all FSD Topco entities, including all appropriate
elimination entries, to achieve an accurate and timely general
ledger month-end close.Participate in initiatives to maximize
utilization of the ERP system to enhance the workflows in the
accounting department. Provide guidance to the accounting team and
other departments, as needed, by researching and interpreting
accounting standards and providing recommendations to operational
issues.Responsible for monthly sales and use tax compliance
(utilizing Avalara).Support the annual audit and budget
process.Responsible for general ledger maintenance, data integrity
and accuracy.Ensures compliance with and/or follows all
organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and
procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates.
Seeks guidance as necessary.Actively supports and participates in
the safety program, both for self-protection and the protection of
other employees, by reading and abiding by all requirements in the
Safety Manual and Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).Carries
out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional
manner.Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a
consistent state of alertness and safe manner.Handles various other
duties as delegated by the senior
management.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in
Accounting (CPA, preferred)Minimum 7+ years prior management
experience in the financial reporting/general ledger areaExperience
in manufacturing environment requiredStrong understanding and
knowledge of U.S GAAP and internal controls, (experience with IFRS
standards preferred)MS Navision-ERP experience preferredHigh
Proficiency in Excel required, along with a solid working knowledge
of all other Microsoft Office products (Outlook Word,
PowerPoint)Salary Range (applicable to California):$155,000 -
$175,000 depending on experienceSupervisory Responsibilities:In
accordance with applicable policies/procedures and Federal/State
laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities:
Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees; planning,
assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance;
rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and
resolving problems; enforcing all safety rules and ensuring safe
