Position: Human Trafficking Initiatives Program Manager
HOURS: Exempt
Salary: $64,480 annually or $65,520 with bilingual incentive
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation,
outcomes analysis, maintenance, and operational administrative
oversight of specialized regional human trafficking trainings,
outreach, and capacity building initiatives. Engages partners in
Ventura County, across the Central Coast Region and statewide
through training and technical assistance, to increase the
availability of best practice, trauma-informed services for
survivors of human trafficking or exploitation. Will establish
collaborative inter-agency platforms to share resources, best
practices and strengthen partnerships across the region. Ensures an
atmosphere that is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally
responsive for staff, partners, and individuals served. Maintain an
environment supporting high team morale and effectiveness,
demonstrating commitment to the mission, vision, and values of
Interface Children & Family Services while displaying leadership
qualities that motivate and inspire others. Customarily and
regularly exercise discretion and independent judgement in the
performance of all duties summarized as staff leadership, program
management, and adherence to compliance standards, policy, and
procedures. Provides leadership and expertise to increase the
local, central coast region, and statewide understanding and
knowledge of human trafficking through the facilitation of
culturally informed, evidence-based activities that aim to prevent
and disrupt the cycle of abuse and human trafficking. Oversees the
administration of program staff and volunteers/interns and ensures
contract compliance. Reports to the Director of Human Trafficking
Prevention & Intervention.
DUTIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in
community development, communications, behavioral sciences, human
rights, or other social science. Documented experience with Excel,
Power Point, and Word is required. Two or more years of experience
in statistics, research design, and program evaluation strongly
preferred. Experience working with evidence-based prevention
programming, grant-writing, and curriculum development required.
Experience working with virtual meeting and training platforms
including Zoom. Must have experience managing and supervising
staff, public speaking, group facilitation, community outreach and
engagement and or community impact initiatives. Experience working
with survivors of human trafficking while demonstrating working
knowledge of mental health concepts, domestic violence, family
violence, child abuse, human trafficking, substance abuse, crisis
counseling, and the cycle of violence is preferred. Requires
completion of Domestic Violence Counselor and Human Trafficking
Case Worker Training within three months of hire. Demonstrate
excellent organizational, problem solving, and written and oral
communication skills. Required flexibility of schedule (evening or
weekend work may be required) and ability to work independently.
Experience with private and/or public social service agencies
desirable. Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable.
Successful background and criminal clearance required and
maintained, including but not limited to California Department of
Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI, Child Abuse
Index and Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Proof of a valid
California Driver's License, reliable transportation, proof of
automobile insurance (listed as covered), pass and maintain driving
approval as required by our insurer.
