Description:--- Responsible for tactical and strategic management of key suppliers. Heavy focus on relationship management, execution of MRP fundamentals (order placement, proactive follow-up, and expedites when required), and issue resolution. --- Demonstrates creative ways to resolve issues or risks to manage supplier relationships in close collaboration with other relevant functions (Supplier Quality, Business Development)--- Maintains and monitors key performance metrics in the areas of on time delivery, fill rate, quality, and service. Drives continuous performance improvement across all metrics. Develop and implement corrective action initiatives where required.--- Lead Supplier Business Reviews to ensure that performance is meeting or exceeding expectations. --- Active participant in the monthly S&OP process. Responsible for developing monthly Supply Plan Review which includes clear communication on supply constraints, impact to Gross Profit and service level, expected timeline for stable supply, and potential mitigations and inventory metrics.--- Responsible for management of At-Risk Inventory processes including review of data, metrics, trends, and action plan to minimize scraps. Hold meeting with cross functional stakeholders to review trends and develop action plan where needed. --- Support new product launches to consistently deliver per contractual customer commitments. Leads negotiations with suppliers to align on critical parameters (batch sizes, lead time, etc.), and ensures that procurement is efficiently executed to meet target dates.--- Demonstrates business knowledge and expertise in category that includes the supplier base, business trends, and the business goals of GSMS.--- Lead cross-functional teams to implement projects that drive efficiencies and contribute towards key results of the company.--- With management, acts as a liaison communicating strategies, recommendations and initiatives as appropriate.--- Works independently as well as in a team environment and makes decisions based on analysis of supplier proposals and in partnership management.--- Develops and executes sourcing strategies that will drive measurable improvements in the areas of customer satisfaction, compliance, and cost reduction.--- Provides mentorship and creates development opportunities for direct reports.Skills:GMP, supplier management, internal audit, audit, pharmaceutical, medical device, Purchase order, Procurement, Purchasing, Supply chain, Buyer purchasing, Inventory, Negotiation, Purchasing experienceAdditional Skills & Qualifications:--- Bachelor's degree & 5+ years of experience in a Purchasing role.--- Responsibility for leading and managing a Procurement team.--- CPSM certification is a significant plus.--- Understanding of generic pharmaceutical market and manufacturers is helpful. --- Ability to prepare comprehensive and accurate reports and leverage data to drive key performance indicators.--- Demonstrated success designing and implementing supply chain and procurement processes.--- Strong ERP skillset. Familiarity with Syspro (ERP system) is a plus. --- Solid Microsoft Office competency, particularly with spreadsheet and database management.--- Able to work in fast-paced, multi-task environment with shifting priorities.Experience Level:Expert Level About Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
