Job Description:

Under the guidance of the Controller, is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of our accounts receivable department. Leads and coaches Accounts Receivable staff in customer relations and focuses on removing any barriers that would inhibit a good flow of revenue. Will play a critical role in implementing policies, training, and processes of the receivables team.The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for ensuring strong accounting principles, practices and procedures are implemented and maintained. The Revenue Cycle Manager carries out the mission of Casa Pacifica as it pertains to managing the accounting, budget, and sound financial structure of Casa Pacifica.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities):

  • Develops and maintains practices and procedures to ensure revenue component of Financial Statements is produced accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Analyzes revenue and accounts receivable information on balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and federal regulations. Recommends general ledger and report changes where appropriate.
  • Monitors contracted billing rates on various public and private insurance contracts to ensure correct billing rates.
  • Reviews and monitors status of cost-based and county contracts, prepares monthly/quarterly reporting to contracting entities as required.
  • Reviews and assists with cost reports. Adjusts MHS revenue per cost reports.
  • Reviews and posts all revenue and accounts receivable transactions in the financial software. Ensures work done by department is accurate and recorded in a timely manner.
  • Reviews the invoices prepared by the Revenue Cycle and Accounts Receivable staff. Assists with invoice preparation as necessary to ensure revenue is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assists in financial and regulatory audits.
  • Assists in the preparation and importing of budgets.
  • Assists with implementation and upkeep of the accounting software system and accounting control procedures.
  • Performs other special project and analytical functions related to the Finance department as needed and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all matters within the organization with respect to personnel, operations, and clients.
    Position will not be offered as a remote work styleEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 5+ years related experience, or combination of equivalent education and experience in accounting and finance. Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred.
    • Advanced level Microsoft Excel expertise required.

    • Ability to respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to write reports and business correspondence and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
    • Knowledge of social services industry terminology helpful
    • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and SOX.
      Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance with an emphasis in accounting. Five to seven years supervisory experience in an accounting department of an organization of similar size and complexity or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.
