Job Description:

This position is focused on service delivery excellence. Specific activities relative to the job function could include: support of quality sample management, coordination with quality lab support services including glasswash, media, inventory management, and chemical management.

  • Job Title: Sr. QC Sample Management Technician
  • Location: Thousand Oak, CA.
  • Duration: 3 months (temp to hire)
  • Shift: 8-5 Mon - Fri
  • Pay Rate: $24/hr. What will you do? -Set up and pull stability samples per procedure -Fulfillment of requests for repeat testing or support related activities -Equipment excursion coordination and monitoring including after hours support -Equipment cleaning for temperature controlled units -Preparation of domestic and international outgoing shipments -Management of quality samples in LIMS system -Perform sample courier pick up and delivery per procedural guidelines -Water labeling, receiving, and logging -Follows well defined procedures and safety requirements as outlined by Best Practices, SOP's & work instructions. Take direction from Site Supervisor/Manager (and Team Lead) regarding daily duties. -Makes decisions and utilizes available resources to meet customer requirements, independently. -Analyzes/maintains/reconciles various customer and Thermo Fisher reports to ensure customer and Thermo Fisher requirements are met. -Communicates with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems. -Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and enhancements without the presence of site trainer and management team. -Listens to customer concerns, effectively diffuses dissatisfaction, and quickly identifies course of action with a goal of first call resolution within established turnaround times. -Works effectively with a diverse cross-functional team. -Embraces Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies. -Utilizes systems as required by job function. -Represents client at all times throughout customer locations, professionally and positively. -Performs other duties as assigned by management. -Adhere to safety requirement. -Using customer ERP system, generate requisitions in ERP system for Purchase Orders and verify payments to external vendors -Extensive Customer Service including prompt response to all service status requests -Experience in laboratory and in GXP environments -Utilization of Good Documentation Practices in all record keeping -Maintaining metric data for work performed -May include cross training in additional functional areas such as Glassware, Media and Buffer preparation, Cell Culture Support, and Inventory Management services -Promote a safe work environment through various safety initiatives within functional area -Participate in individual or group projects that can include, cost savings analysis, learning groups, writing job training methods, and leading team meetings -May engage in training activities with new-hires when working in conjunction with a Site Supervisor

    Education Preferred Bachelors in Science or Associates Degree Required High School Diploma or GED Experience 2-3 years of experience within a quality setting Experience in laboratory setting or services preferred; experience in cGMP Demonstrated verbal, written and presentation skills Strong mechanical aptitude; attention to detail; technical problem-solving skills; and ability to multi-task. Strong computer skills, including working with Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint. Able to safely lift 40 lbs and remain standing for > 50% of the workday Why Kelly ?
