shape the future of technology and production. Purpose We are
seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Inspection & Metrology
Supervisor to lead daily inspection and measurement activities
across production and development environments. This role is
critical to ensuring product quality, compliance, and data
integrity through robust inspection processes and strong technical
leadership. The ideal candidate is a working leader with deep
metrology expertise, strong people skills, and the ability to drive
consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement within a
fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Role Supervise daily
inspection and metrology operations, including CMMs, portable arms,
laser/structured-light scanning, and conventional inspection
methods. Lead and support a team of inspection and metrology
technicians, ensuring adherence to quality standards, inspection
plans, and production schedules. Act as the technical point of
contact for measurement strategy, CMM execution, and inspection
troubleshooting on the production floor. Ensure CMM programs and
inspection methods are executed in a repeatable, efficient manner;
partner with engineering to improve cycle time and robustness.
Coordinate workload, staffing, and equipment utilization to support
short- and long-term production and program needs. Partner closely
with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Production
teams to resolve inspection issues, support RCCAs, and improve
manufacturability. Drive adherence to quality systems, customer
requirements, and internal standards (ISO, AS, drawing
requirements, control plans). Review inspection results, identify
trends, and escalate quality risks; support containment and
corrective actions as needed. Support the deployment of new
metrology technologies, automation efforts, and fixturing solutions
to improve repeatability and throughput. Coach, train, and mentor
technicians on GD&T interpretation, inspection techniques,
reporting standards, and best practices. Ensure accurate
documentation of inspection activities, nonconformances, and
measurement records. Promote a culture of quality ownership,
continuous improvement, safety, and clear communication within the
team and across the factory. Maintain an organized, efficient
inspection environment aligned with 5S and lean manufacturing
principles. Basic Qualifications Ability to lawfully access
information and technology that is subject to US export controls 3
years of hands-on experience with inspection, metrology, and
quality within a fast-paced aerospace/automotive manufacturing or
production environment. 2 years of experience in a people
leadership or supervisory role, with direct responsibility for
coaching and performance management. Strong working knowledge of
metrology operations and programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso, Zeiss
inspect, verisurf, or equivalent), including execution in high-mix
production. Proficient in GD&T with the ability to interpret
complex engineering drawings and translate them into effective
inspection strategies. Experience with a variety of metrology &
inspection tools, including CMMs, portable arms,
laser/structured-light scanners, & conventional precision
instruments (manual inspection, borescopes, comparators, etc).
Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve inspection,
measurement, or data integrity issues quickly. Comfortable working
on the production floor and supporting technicians hands-on as
needed. Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to
interface effectively with engineering, production, and quality
teams. Experience working within regulated quality systems (ISO,
AS, or customer-specific requirements). Ability to manage changing
priorities in a fast-paced engineering and production environment.
Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with metrology, such
as laser scanning or structured light measurement, CMMs, & scan
arms. Experience interfacing CMM data with manufacturing execution
systems (MES) or statistical process control (SPC) software.
Experience in a Machine Shop Experience with design for manufacture
and product development life cycle Experience with quality tools
including root cause and corrective action, QMS and process
auditing and statistical analysis of quality metrics Associate or
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related
field (or equivalent experience). Work Environment This role
operates in a fast-paced, high-mix production environment where
priorities can shift rapidly based on engineering changes, supply
chain constraints, and program milestones. The environment demands
tight cross-functional collaboration with engineering,
manufacturing, quality, logistics, and program teams to ensure
daily execution aligns with long-term build plans. Success in this
environment requires hands-on engagement on the shop floor, strong
systems knowledge, and the ability to anticipate and resolve
scheduling risks before they impact key deliverables. The culture
