Job Description
Teledyne Imaging Sensors is an integral member of the Digital Imaging Segment of Teledyne Technologies. Imaging Sensors provides advanced imaging solutions for a variety of customers, including the DoD, NASA, prime system integrators, and commercial customers. In the civilian space arena, Teledyne sensors are the most advanced sensors on board the Hubble space telescope, and they are also found on board the majority of NASA space probes and ground based telescopes. In the DoD arena, Teledyne sensors are integrated into several major systems for persistent surveillance, chemical detection, and target identification, among others.
Position Summary:
The Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer designs, develops, modifies and evaluates integrated circuit technologies for Teledyne Imaging Sensors' CMOS Design group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Works as part of a development team of highly talented designers on integrated circuit design


  • Interacts with group to support concurrent chip developments


  • Develops mixed signal integrated circuit designs that can achieve unique and demanding applications including:


  • Architecture trades and definition


  • Modeling and analysis


  • Schematic capture


  • Circuit simulation


  • Layout and physical design


  • Debug and verification for individual sub-blocks or top level integration


  • Brings forward innovations in IP, IP reuse and improves workflows and efficiencies through active participation in brain storming and peer reviews


    Qualifications & Competencies
    To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:


    • Strong technical background in electrical engineering with experience in mixed mode integrated circuit design desired


    • Resolves a wide range of technical issues in imaginative as well as practical ways


    • Knowledge of CMOS design tools such as Cadence, Mentor, Synopsis


    • Advanced computer proficiency, fluent in Microsoft Office Suite, familiar with Linux OS, capable of scripting and coding rudimentary shell or batch scripts.


    • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills


    • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions


    • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices


      Education and/or Experience

      • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with one (1) to five (5) years of related work experience using CMOS design processes and techniques.

        Citizenship Requirements
        Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

        Salary Range:
        $139,700.00 - $234,300.00
