organization in the construction and distribution industry, is
seeking an experienced Credit Manager to lead their credit and
collections operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned credit
professional who thrives in a collaborative, in-office environment
and is looking for long-term stability and growth. About the Role
The Credit Manager will oversee the company’s credit policies,
customer credit evaluations, accounts receivable performance, and
the leadership of a credit and collections team. This individual
will play a critical role in mitigating financial risk, ensuring
strong internal controls, and maintaining healthy customer
relationships. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and
maintain company credit policies and procedures Establish customer
credit limits while balancing risk and profitability Manage, coach,
and motivate credit and collections staff to maximize results
Analyze credit reports (Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, etc.) to assess
risk Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers
Partner with customers to obtain and verify credit documentation
Conduct periodic credit reviews and assess customer account risk
Review requests for extended payment terms, pre-lienable jobs, and
exceptions Identify high-risk trends; negotiate collateral or
revised payment terms Monitor AR activity and prepare regular
performance and aging reports Identify accounts requiring
escalation to third-party collections or legal action Implement
lien processes on delinquent accounts as needed Prepare summaries
and recommendations for high-risk or delinquent accounts Negotiate
payment arrangements; approve write-offs per policy Ensure proper
controls and safeguards over customer financial data Approve
credits and account adjustments within authorized limits Calculate
and report monthly DSO and other key AR metrics Preferred
Qualifications 7 years in Credit & Collections leadership with
direct reports Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics,
Business, or related field Experience with PCI Compliance Strong
proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Knowledge of UCC
code and lien processes Advanced analytical skills with the ability
to research and resolve complex credit issues Employee Benefits
