Job Description Job Description Our client, an innovative and rapidly expanding aerospace manufacturer in the South Bay, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in cost accounting, BOM analysis, and inventory management within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain cost accounting processes to support production and financial accuracy. Review and analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) and job costing for manufacturing projects. Manage and reconcile inventory transactions , including raw materials and finished goods. Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for production costs. Assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to optimize cost controls and efficiency. Drive process improvements and implement best practices across accounting functions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace . Strong understanding of cost accounting principles , inventory management, and GAAP. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Infor Syteline, Coupa). Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
