Job Description:

*Role Summary:*The Staff Accountant at Modern Space will play a key role in supporting the overall accounting department. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position offers high visibility and growth opportunities for the right candidate looking to advance to a staff accountant role. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the company's financial records.*Essential Responsibilities:* Focus on full cycle Accounts Payable, including processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations. Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure accuracy of high-volume invoices. Record transactions, reconcile expenses, and process intercompany payable invoices. Handle ACH, wire, and credit card payments, as well as invoicing clients for services or goods rendered. Prepare and distribute weekly Accounts Payable aging with critical payment updates Prepare weekly freight reporting, by project and identify if billable and non-billable to customer Management of Prepaid Freight and Import Duty Accounts by project Reconcile vendor accounts, conduct expense and PO analysis, and prepare various reports. Assist with revenue and cost alignment for projects, manage prepaid accounts, and support EOM close processes. Help with inventory analysis, accounting controls, and special projects as directed. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and documentation under the guidance of the Controller.*Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing company Strong full cycle Accounts Payable experience in a manufacturing environment Proficient in processing payments (both PO and Non-PO) to vendors and reconciling credit card activity (weekly and monthly) Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, etc.) Team player with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and meeting tight deadlines Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to drive process improvementsJob Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shiftApplication Question(s):* Do you currently or have previous experience working in the Manufacturing or Aerospace industry?* What is your experience on Excel?Education:* Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:* Accounts payable: 3 years (Preferred)* Accounting: 3 years (Preferred)Ability to Relocate:* Oxnard, CA: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
