Wage band range $63,600.00 - $95,400.00 annually. However, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.
Under the guidance of the CFO, carries out the mission of Casa Pacifica and is responsible for assisting with the month end accounting close, monthly, quarterly and annual financial planning and analysis, variance analyses, and some accounting duties. Also responsible for preparation, coordination, consolidation, and reporting of annual budget and mid-year forecast. Prepares, analyzes, and makes recommendations regarding internal financial statements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Coordinate and facilitate operating budget and forecast development.
  • Analyze benchmarking data, reports, processes, and measurements for key performance indicators to recognize trends and make recommendations.
  • Participate in design, implementation and ongoing analysis of business unit KPI's
  • Research, recommend, and implement analytics tools and statistical methods to support quality improvement, program development, and financial performance.
  • Perform variance analysis and examines financial information such as budgets, forecasts, income and expense statements, and monthly operating results for all programs. Provides data and explanation to program leadership on variance to budget.
  • Produce routine and ad hoc financial reports and packages for senior management.
  • Assist with streamlining reporting packages.
  • Assist in reporting to counties.
  • Assist in financial and regulatory audits to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor contracts for compliance and assist with annual renewal of licenses and contracts.
  • Special projects and accounting duties as assigned by management.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 4 years related experience, or combination of equivalent education and experience in accounting and finance. Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred.
    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Advanced level Microsoft Excel expertise required.
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports.
    • Ability to respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to write reports and business correspondence and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
    • Familiarity with relational database creation and management with demonstrated ability to extract data for statistical analysis and reporting.
    • Experience using Standard Query Language or similar language required.

      Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as insurance requirements, authorizations, and coverages, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
      Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, and ratios.
      Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
      Computer Science - Familiarity with relational database creation and management with demonstrated ability to extract data for statistical analysis and reporting. Experience using Standard Query Language or similar language required.
