Our client in the Camarillo area is looking for an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join their team. This is a critical role responsible for multiple key functions within the Accounting Department. A primary function of the role is overseeing collection efforts of Accounts Receivable, assisting with the month end close, and assisting with the development of the cost accounting function. This role works independently and in collaboration with employees throughout the organization. Job Description:Work closely with VP of Finance and Accounting, Controller, and other accounting personnel in performing month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, etc.Lead credit and collections activities to ensure monies owed to the firm are received in a timely manner while maintaining positive relationships with customers and co-workers.Master the AR systems and ERP sub-ledgers and continuously improve knowledge of system capabilities.Carry out variance analysis such as Purchase Price to Cost variance, cost revaluation, Invoice to PO price variances and work order variancesAssist in creating and managing the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsAble to communicate with professionals at all levelsAble to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance, General Accounting and/or Cost Accounting environments REF #41978 #ZR #LI-POST
